CCAP focuses on acquiring work from emerging artists that:
— exhibit strong mastery of their medium,
— show active dialogue with art history, and
— have a keen interest in the contemporary
conditions of an image.

We are looking for a successful symbiosis between political and historical awareness, and artwork with a visually and materially appealing form. CCAP’s main focus is on painting, but other mediums are not excluded.

Chloe West

Chloe West (b. Cheyenne, WY) lives and works in St. Louis, Missouri. She received a BFA from the University of Wyoming in 2015, and an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2017. Her figurative paintings are continually inspired by European art from the Medieval and Renaissance eras as well as her upbringing in Wyoming. Her works often reference 17th-century Flemish and Dutch painting through her use of iconographies associated with memento mori and vanitas paintings. Her careful depictions of the nude figure and dramatic lighting recall Baroque traditions and her Western landscapes converse with the sublime.

Most recently, West’s work has been exhibited at Morgan Presents, New York (2023), Harper’s Gallery, Los Angeles (2023), East Hampton (2023), New York (2022); NADA, New York (2023), Miami (2022); Galerie Mighela Shama, Geneva (2022); Jack Siebert Projects, New York (2022); PM/AM, online (2021); UNIT, London (2021); No Place, Columbus (2021); projects+gallery, St. Louis (2021); Monaco, St. Louis (2020); and PRACTISE, Chicago (2019). Her work has appeared in publications such as ArtMaze Magazine, Booooooom, and Silver Space.
