CCAP focuses on acquiring work from emerging artists that:
— exhibit strong mastery of their medium,
— show active dialogue with art history, and
— have a keen interest in the contemporary
conditions of an image.

We are looking for a successful symbiosis between political and historical awareness, and artwork with a visually and materially appealing form. CCAP’s main focus is on painting, but other mediums are not excluded.

Chloe West

Chloe West (b. Cheyenne, WY) lives and works in St. Louis, Missouri. She received a BFA from the University of Wyoming in 2015, and an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2017. Her works often reference 17th-century Flemish and Dutch painting through her use of iconographies associated with memento mori and vanitas paintings. Her careful depictions of the nude figure and dramatic lighting recall Baroque traditions and her Western landscapes converse with the sublime.
